Blessed are we who can laugh at ourselves for we shall never cease to be amused.
I suspect that life can be hard, tough and horrible. Sometimes it’s very hard. There are disappointments to face, losses to regret, griefs to bear, hardships to suffer, disappointments to process. There’s no sense pretending that life is a bowl of cherries. Except when you’re eating a bowl of cherries or Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream. But at many other times life is anything but a bowl of cherries. It’s more like a bowl of rotten apples. Life is often a struggle. A struggle to make a living or to make your life better. We must admit that life is relatively short. It’s over far too quickly. So, we should not spend our life being sad about its difficulties and mocking ourselves instead we should learn to laugh at ourselves as it decreases most of the stress.
Once we accept that life is hard, it may get easier. So much of life’s disappointments come because of our over thinking about different things. I’m suggesting that we should live our life happily Inspite of many difficulties and hardships so we’re less likely to be sad. As we all know that life is dynamic. It doesn’t stay the same ever and it keeps on changing. It’s only a matter of time until we have our next challenge or our next joy. In the meantime, we’ll all be better off if we learn to laugh at ourselves, as the quotation suggests "Blessed are we who can laugh at ourselves”. Life is serious and should be taken seriously. But not TOO SERIOUSLY. And we should take ourselves even LESS SERIOUSLY. We should learn to laugh at ourselves, as we’re actually pretty funny when you think about it. There is one aspect of life that is always important. Humor, jokes and laughing at yourself but you need to be careful. Sometimes humor and all these things backfire. A place to find humor is laughing at yourself.
I love the quote that says; "Blessed are we who can laugh at ourselves for we shall never cease to be amused". We need to be the first ones to giggle at something silly that we have done instead of getting depressed about it. Laughing at ourselves diffuses all sorts of negative emotions and helps us to be happier, healthier and dare I say it, funnier people! So, learn to laugh at yourself. Learn to laugh with others at yourself. And laugh at them with them if they aren’t too stressed out. But then it’s even more important to laugh. Let’s not take ourselves too seriously. No one else does. If we can learn to laugh at ourselves, we’ll never cease to be amused. Because all of us are amusing. I think we should really appreciate the life we have today, we have to let go of all expectations that certain things or an individual should look or be in a certain way.
